Rod, Perhaps Harada and I should double team MTS sensors. The NIED job
would have had plenty of time to get everything perfect but for the 5
weeks lost due to those guys. After losing those weeks, as you
remember, we only had enough time to just get things good enough to get
to the next milestone. Thus I blame them for our later problems also.
I had a good meeting with Dr. Agaki and Mr. Okuta at NTT friday. They
like MTS because they know we will find the cause of the problem and fix
it. It was initially a friction failure, paint and not counter bored
holes contributing, but as the initial failure was only in the Z
direction, I think the compliant wings must have amplified bowstring.
Ergo, if the data we collect Tuesday supports this failure idea, then we
will provide new wings (as you and I discussed we should consider even
before the failure).
  Regards- Omar
